Commercial Trusses

Scissors

A truss having the same pitch on each side, the same heel on each end, and the peak of the truss is in the center of the span. Scissor trusses may have overhangs from 0" to 24" on each end. Scissor trusses are placed at 2' On-Center spacing or less.

Vaulted Mono

Vaulted Mono Truss

Vaulted mono's are often used for porches as well as Lean-To's off of Post Frame buildings. Also used for cathedral ceilings that have a ridge beam in the center for support.

End Truss

A truss that requires a continuous bearing wall underneath it. An end truss has vertical nailers at 2' O.C. to allow for sheathing to be applied. The profile of an end matches the common trusses as far as heel height, peak height, and overhangs.
