Skill Level: Beginner
-
Splice Gutter Sections
Install gutter sections. To splice two gutter sections make an incision on the outer edge upstream approximately 2-1/2" with a tin snips.
-
Connect Gutter Sections
Slide the gutter sections together and pre-drill holes for rivets.
-
Attach End Caps
Place the rivets into the predrilled holes; caulk the edge using 100% silicon caulk. Apply silicon caulk to the end cap, attach them to the gutter and crimp the ends.
-
Install Gutter Hangers
When installing your gutter to the building, attach hidden hangers every 24". Mark outlet in the gutter where downspout is needed. (One downspout per every 1000 sq. ft. of roof is recommended.) You may cut out the outlet hole using a jig saw or a tin snips. Apply silicon sealant to the outlet and fasten with rivets.
-
Attach Gutters To BuildingPlace the gutter against the fascia at the desired slope and install using gutter hangers attaching into the fascia board.
