Cutting UltraTimber
Skill Level: Beginner
  1. Determine Angle
Determine Angle for adjoining UltraTimber by dividing the desired angle for corner by half. Example a 90 degree corner will require a 45 degree cut on both UltraTimbers meeting at the 90 degree corner.
  2. Mark angle
Using a protractor or speed square, mark the angle on UltraTimber.
  3. Making the cut
A sliding miter saw works best for obtaining a square and straight cut. Cuts may also be made with a circular or handsaw.
  4. Cutting continued
Depending on your miter saw or circular saw, it may be necessary to complete the cut using a handsaw.
  5. Helpful hints
Taking care to make sure angles are marked & cut square will result in clean looking joints. A rasp can be used as needed to square cuts.
