Replace Crown
Skill Level: Beginner
  1. Loosen old crown
To remove the damaged crown, use a #2 phillips bit to loosen the screws until they are completely free of the sill.
  2. Remove crown
Remove the crown and gasket seal from the sill.
  3. Measure new crown
To ensure proper placement of the screws, the replacement crown will be no longer than the sill. Align the old crown screw heads directly over the top of the new crown screw heads, and mark for cutting.
  4. Cut new crown
Using a fine toothed saw, remove the ends of the crown at pencil marks.
  5. Install new crown
Place the crown onto the sill and tighten the screws.
  6. Inspect area
Check the corner seals and weatherstrip for any damage that may have occured during the installation process. If any parts are damaged, replace them using genuine Mastercraft replacement parts.
